DIY Aloevera Oil for Hair Growth – Get Thick Hair

In this article, we talk about how aloe vera can aid hair growth and how to prepare homemade aloe vera oil. Let’s take a look!

How to make Aloevera Hair Oil at home?

You will need:

  • 2 cups of Coconut oil/ Almond oil/ Olive oil
  • Aloe vera Leaf
  • Rosemary essential oil (optional)
  • Glass Jar

How to make:

  • Take a fresh organic aloe vera leaf and wash it thoroughly removing any dirt.
  • First cut off the edges of the leaf and then chop it into cubes. Let the aloe vera cubes sit in water for 5 minutes to drain out their yellow resin.
  • Blend the cubes in a blender to make an aloe vera paste.
  • Heat 2 cups of Coconut oil in a pan on a medium flame. Add the aloe vera paste to the oil.
  • Slow cook the aloe vera oil for 5 minutes and turn off the flame.
  • You will notice the oil has slightly turned yellowish golden in color.
  • Strain the oil and add few drops of rosemary oil.
  • Store the aloe vera oil in an airtight glass jar for up to 1-2 months.

How to use aloe vera oil for Hair Growth

  • Take the required amount of aloe vera oil in a small pan and warm a little.
  • Massage the aloe oil on your scalp. Also, apply it to your hair shafts. Wash your hair with a mild (sulfate-free) shampoo after 30-45 minutes.
  • Or you can leave the hair oil overnight and wash it off in the morning. Use Aloe vera oil on your hair at least twice a week to see desired results.

Please specify if only the sides of the aloe leaves have to removed or the whole skin of the leaves before blending.
