Moong dal, also known as green gram or green lentil, is a versatile ingredient with multiple skincare benefits. It can be used as a body scrub for exfoliation, a face pack for a radiant glow, or a night serum to repair skin damage. Here are some moong dal face packs to help you make the most of its benefits.

First prepare Moong dal powder :

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Green Moong Dal (whole or Split Moong Dal)

Instructions:

  • Wash the moong dal thoroughly with water to remove any dust or impurities.
  • Spread it on a clean cloth or tray and let it dry completely. Or you can dry roast the moong dal in a pan on low heat for 3-5 minutes
  • Transfer the dried or roasted moong dal to a mixer or grinder. Grind it into a fine powder for a smoother texture.
  • Store the powder in an airtight container.It stays fresh for 1-2 months.

1. Moong Dal Gel for Wrinkles

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Moong Dal Powder (finely ground)
  • 2 tbsp Aloe Vera Gel (soothing & hydrating)
  • 1 tsp Glycerine (moisturizing)
  • 1 capsule Vitamin E Oil (nourishing & anti-aging)
  • 2-3 drops Tea Tree Oil (anti-bacterial & acne-fighting)

Instructions:

  • In a clean bowl, mix moong dal powder and aloe vera gel, add glycerine and squeeze in the oil from the vitamin E capsule.
  • Mix well and then add 2-3 drops of tea tree oil. Stir until everything is well combined.
  • Transfer the gel into an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
  • Apply a thin layer of the gel to your face before sleeping.
  • Leave it overnight and wash off with lukewarm water in the morning.
  • Use daily for soft, glowing, and blemish-free skin.

2. Moong Dal Bridal Face Pack for Glowing Skin

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Moong Dal Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbsp Curd (Yogurt)
  • 1 tsp Orange Peel Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Sweet Almond Oil

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix moong dal powder and turmeric powder.
  2. Add curd and orange peel powder to form a smooth paste.
  3. Stir in sweet almond oil and mix well.
  4. Apply the moong dal pack evenly on your face and neck.
  5. Leave it on for 15–20 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.
  6. Use this pack 2–3 times a week for best results.
