1. Carrot Infused Oil

You will need:

  • 2 cups of Olive oil/ Almond oil
  • 1 medium-sized carrot
  • Lavender essential oil (optional)
  • Glass Jar

How to make:

  • Take a medium-sized carrot, wash it, peel it and shred it. Sun dry the shredded carrots for 4 hours. Now, in a glass jar, pour in your favorite oil (I like to use olive oil since it suits my skin). Add dried shredded carrots to it and give it a mix. Lastly, add in few drops of lavender essential oil.
  • Next, seal the jar and leave the carrot oil to infuse at room temperature for about 3-4 weeks.
  • Shake the jar at least once daily so that the mixture steeps evenly. The oil may become a little darker the longer you infuse.
  • If you want your carrot oil that is infused by the sun, keep the jar in direct sunlight for 2-3 weeks. You need to shake the jar daily.
  • After a given time, open your jar, strain the oil, and pour it into a clean air-tight jar. Store this oil in the refrigerator for up to 4 months.
