MB13 Caramel Cut

In 2013 when Lakme introduced their new shade MR3 Scarleet drill, it instantly became talk of the town. The perfect metallic pink shade was everyone’s first pick up. After they discontinued the shade, i couldn’t find the better replacement until MB13 Caramel Cut happened.

Shade : Caramel Cut MB13

The shade caramel cut is a mixture of brown and pink. This shade of lipstick can be worn by women of all ages & skin tones, right from fair to medium to dusky skin tones. The texture is very soft, gives smooth finish, feels very light and extremely comfortable on the lips. It’s a perfect shade if you are looking for daily wear. The pigmentation is good with mild to no fragrance.

Price : Rs. 375 (3.6 gm)

Longevity : It stays for up to 4 – 5 hours without any meals. It starts getting lighter after every meal and demands touch up.

Packaging : It comes in a rosy gold outer cover & Lakme 9 to 5 printed on the body. The shade name and number is mentioned at the bottom of a sticker. The lipstick is very handy and reasonable.

Perfectly suitable for all the skin tones. Extremely wearable. You can wear this shade daily for office, for college, dinner…  Hence very versatile.

How to use :

Before applying this shade, i would advise you to exfoliate your lips. Just take a little amount of toothpaste on your toothbrush and exfoliate your lips gently. If you have dry lips, then wear mild lip balm and spf before applying the lipstick directly on your lips.

Stretch the lips and start at the corner, putting on the lipstick to the corners. Blot the lipstick with a tissue. Apply it carefully,  the lipstick shouldn’t smudged over the line of your lips. I applied two swipes to make the color look more pigmented and intense. It gives nice nude shade look and suits my skin tone perfectly.

Comparison MR3 Scarlett Drill v/s MB13 Caramel Cut

The photo mentioned above shows Scarlett drill to the left and Caramel Cut in the right. There is absolutely no difference in both the shades unless you take a very close look. Scarlett Drill MR3 is a mixture of Orange + Brown + pink whereas Caramel Cut MB13 is a mixture of Brown + Pink.

Overall, i am really impressed with this shade. I may repurchase the shade again.
