5 Best Diet Tips
1. Chew your Food 25 times
You must be wondering, am I crazy, who keeps the count of how many times to chew food? But believe me and trust me, it works.
- Chew every bite 25-30 times and chew slowly.
- The more the food stays in your mouth, the better the digestive process is. Almost 30 – 40% of digestion will be done in your mouth only.
- Your food needs to fully break down so that your body gets proper nutrition.
- Practicing this habit has helped me with proper digestion and preventing bloating.
- It helps avoid overeating (which can lead to unwanted weight gain).
- This habit can also help those with diarrhea or acidity problems.
- Set a reminder to chew food 25 times, every time you have your meal.
2. Drink Water at proper intervals
- Drinking more water helps a person to lose weight, not because it magically burns fat, but because it indirectly supports weight loss.
- Water is a natural appetite suppressant, when your stomach is full, it curbs over-snacking.
- It’s the best replacement for other sugar-based energy drinks and soda.
- It helps to flush out toxins from the body and prevents dehydration.
Below is the schedule for water intake:
- Drink 2 glasses of water – After waking up to activate muscles and internal organs.
- 1 Glass of Water – after the workout calm down your heartbeat back to normal levels.

3. Use a Small Plate to eat meals
- It is a mind trick that helps to lose weight. You tend to take a large portion of meals on a large plate.
- When you have your meal on a small plate, your meal portion automatically gets reduced, and hence you eat less.
- Some studies have shown that using small plates led to almost a 25-30% reduction in the amount of food consumed.
4. Healthy alternative for your cravings
- Try to use healthy alternatives which can curb your cravings and won’t have much impact on weight.
- For eg. You can swap grated cauliflower for white rice, whole grain bread for white bread, banana cocoa ice cream for chocolate ice cream, etc..
- These alternatives can fulfill your hunger pangs as well as be healthy too.
5. Cut down Sugar Completely
- Quitting sugar has completely worked for me, not just on my weight but also on my skin. I have clearer skin now.
- I have increased levels of energy, my mood remains good, I’m more focused and I’ve stopped procrastinating ever since I’ve cut sugar from my diet.
- You can replace sugar with jaggery, but try to use it less. If you crave anything sweet, eat black dates, dried figs or apricots, or a small banana.
Try to make these small changes in your lifestyle as they will add up to big results.
